Hanplanet Terms of Service

Effective Date: 2026-06-19

By using Hanplanet, HanDrive, account authentication, GitHub integration, Google integration, Google Drive integration, Git repositories, search, translation, chat, games, or portfolio features, users agree to these Terms.

1. Scope of the Service

The Service may include:

  • HanDrive file upload, organization, preview, editing, download, move, delete, sharing, and sync
  • Git repository conversion for HanDrive folders, branch/commit/collaborator management, and Forgejo/Gitea integration
  • GitHub login/sign-up/linking, display of user-selected GitHub repositories, file read/edit/add/delete, commits, and branch creation/deletion
  • Google login/sign-up/linking, display of Google Drive files/folders selected with Google Picker, file read/edit/create/delete/move within the selected scope, and uploading Google Drive files into HanDrive
  • Root search, quick links, translation, chatbot, games, portfolio, and public sharing features

Specific features, screens, and delivery methods may change for operational reasons.

2. Accounts and Authentication

  • Users must sign up and log in with account information they are authorized to use.
  • Users are responsible for protecting passwords, sessions, authentication methods, and linked OAuth accounts.
  • When using Google or GitHub login/linking, the providers' terms and policies also apply.
  • The Service may restrict account creation, login, or OAuth linking for security, duplicate-account prevention, or Terms enforcement.
  • Users may unlink Google or GitHub accounts in the account menu and may also revoke app access in each provider's account settings.

3. User Content and Files

  • Users are responsible for content they upload or submit to HanDrive, Google Drive integration, GitHub repositories, portfolios, comments, chat, translation, or games.
  • Users may only manage files and repositories they have the right to store, edit, delete, share, or commit.
  • Users authorize the Service to process user content as needed to provide storage, preview, editing, sync, sharing, external API calls, and cache creation.
  • Users may not upload or share illegal content, malware, infringing material, privacy-invasive material, or content that disrupts the Service.

4. HanDrive and Public Sharing

  • Creating, editing, moving, or deleting files in HanDrive changes the actual stored files.
  • Files shared through public links may be accessible to anyone with the link.
  • Public-write Markdown files may be edited by authorized external users.
  • Users are responsible for managing share links and public-write settings and for avoiding accidental disclosure of sensitive information.
  • When sync features are used, delete, move, rename, and conflict-resolution results may propagate across devices.

5. Git, Forgejo/Gitea, and GitHub Repositories

  • Converting HanDrive folders to Git repositories or linking external repositories may create or change branches, commits, collaborators, tokens, and clone/push information.
  • Editing, adding, deleting, committing, or creating/deleting branches in a selected GitHub repository applies real changes to that GitHub repository.
  • Commit messages, branch names, file names, and author information may remain in repository history.
  • Users must comply with repository permissions, licenses, collaboration rules, and organization policies.
  • Users should review and back up important repository data to prevent loss from mistaken commits, deletes, branch changes, or sync actions.

6. Google Drive Integration

  • The Google Drive root displays only files/folders the user selected with Google Picker after linking a Google account and enabling Google Drive display. Entering a selected folder may display items inside that folder.
  • The Service does not arbitrarily import or display the user's entire Google Drive file list in HanDrive.
  • Reading, uploading, creating, editing, renaming, moving, or deleting selected files/folders or items inside selected folders applies real changes to the user's Google Drive.
  • Dragging and dropping a Google Drive file into HanDrive may store a copy of that file in HanDrive.
  • Google Workspace files may be displayed or edited differently depending on Google Drive API export formats, permissions, and limitations.
  • When Google Drive display is disabled, the Service blocks Google Drive-related HanDrive API access. When Google is unlinked, the Google Picker selected item list stored by the Service is also deleted.

7. External Services and Third-Party Terms

The Service may integrate with Google, GitHub, Forgejo/Gitea, email providers, CDN/tunnel/web server infrastructure, user-selected external search engines, and a local AI server. Each provider's terms, policies, permissions, and limits apply when those services are used.

Some features may be delayed or fail due to third-party outages, API limits, expired authentication, provider policy changes, or network problems.

8. AI, Translation, and Search

  • Chatbot and translation responses may be generated automatically and are not guaranteed to be accurate, complete, or suitable.
  • Users should not rely solely on AI responses for important decisions, legal/medical/financial judgment, or security actions.
  • When an external search engine is selected in root search, the query may be sent to the selected search engine.
  • Users must not submit other people's personal data, confidential information, or infringing material to AI, translation, or search features.

9. Prohibited Conduct

Users must not:

  • Access another person's account, files, repositories, tokens, or sessions without authorization
  • Upload malware, exploit vulnerabilities, disrupt the Service, send excessive requests, or abuse automation
  • Infringe copyrights, trademarks, trade secrets, privacy, or other rights
  • Store, share, or distribute illegal content
  • Bypass third-party API terms, scopes, or usage limits
  • Evade or manipulate Service security, logs, permission checks, or repository caches

10. Service Changes, Suspension, and Restrictions

The Service may change, suspend, or restrict features for operations, security, legal compliance, external API policy changes, or incident response. Maintenance, errors, network problems, storage issues, or third-party outages may temporarily limit use.

If there is a Terms violation, security risk, excessive use, or possible legal violation, the Service may restrict or block accounts, files, share links, repository integrations, or API access.

11. Backups and Data Loss

The Service works to operate reliably but does not guarantee lossless preservation of user files or external repository changes. Users should maintain separate backups of important files, Git repositories, Google Drive files, and GitHub repository changes.

To the extent permitted by law, the Service's liability is limited for loss or changes caused by user actions, sync conflicts, external API errors, repository permissions, network failures, or device/storage failures.

12. Privacy

Privacy practices for personal data, Google/GitHub OAuth data, Google Drive data, file/cache storage, and logs are described in the Privacy Policy. Users should review the Privacy Policy before using the Service.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, the Service limits liability for:

  • User file actions, repository commits, branch deletion, or public sharing settings
  • Third-party outages, API limits, expired authentication, or provider policy changes
  • User-submitted content, AI/translation outputs, or search result accuracy/legal compliance
  • Account mismanagement, permission misuse, or insufficient backups
  • Natural disasters, network failures, security incidents, or events outside reasonable control

14. Changes to These Terms

The Service may update these Terms due to feature changes, legal changes, external API policy changes, or operational needs. Material changes will be announced on this page or within the Service. Continued use after changes means acceptance of the updated Terms.
